SPÄNEX – the leading manufacturer of extraction units and briquetting systems for craft and industrial operations launched extensive dust extractors at the recently concluded LIGNA.Innovation Network.
Absaugzentrale 20.000
SPÄNEX presented an extraction system concept based on dust extractors at LIGNA.Innovation Network. This new development is based on the customer requirements where, due to local conditions, the filter systems cannot be installed outside the building as required by the European standards. The tried-and-tested alternative solution of arranging the filter system indoors and equipping it with flameless pressure relief devices is often impracticable for structural reasons, so a new solution concept was developed.
The special feature of this system concept are the compact dust extractors, which are installed as a battery. They are complete separation stations with extraction fans on the clean air side, which achieve particularly high efficiencies. Energy saving motors of efficiency class IE 3 (optionally IE 4) are used as standard, their speed is controlled via frequency converters to adapt the extraction capacity to the respective demand, so that highly efficient systems are created.
Absaugzentrale 40.000
The individual dust extractors are disposed of via mechanical or pneumatic conveyors and the separated chips and dust are either conveyed into containers or silos. The intelligent control technology ensures regulated and safe operation of the extraction systems. Optionally, the control system can also be equipped with a remote maintenance module so that the functionality of the systems can be checked by the SPÄNEX service department at the customer’s request.
Up to now several plants with maximum extraction volume flows between 10,000 and 40,000 m³/h have been put into practice based on this new plant engineering concept (Figures 1 and 2).
The special adaptability of the units has shown that this concept represents the optimum technical solution for many applications and ideally complements the extensive product range of SPÄNEX for the implementation of individual extraction units tailored to the needs of the customer.
Brikettierpresse SHB 250
For the LIGNA trade fair, it was planned to set up and operate two extraction centres on the stand, each with two dust extractors, whereby each dust extractor would have provided a maximum air volume of 10,000 m³/h. This means that the total dusty air suction capacity for both stations would have been a maximum of 40,000 m³/h. This would have extracted the woodworking machines exhibited and demonstrated by the Weinig Group.
Below the dust extraction stations, briquetting presses would have been arranged, which would have been started up automatically depending on the amount of chips. The capacity of these machines ranges from 50 to 250 kg/h (Fig. 3).
Entstauber-Brikettierpresseneinheit
Another novelty SPÄNEX presented is the dust extractor – briquetting press unit with only one circuit (PLC Siemens S7-1200), which contains the complete function package for the dust extractor as well as for the briquetting press.
The circuit is equipped with a frequency converter as standard, via which the speed of the dust extractor fan is controlled, so that demand-dependent system operation is possible, which leads to considerable electricity savings, as practice has already shown. A powerful, compact briquetting press of the SHB-RS series with round briquettes is located below the dust extractor, which can be placed below a dust extractor as well as below a filter system.
Mitteldruckentstauber
A special dust extractor series for extracting dust from hand-operated machines and workplaces was also unveiled at LIGNA.Innovation Network. It is characterised by a particularly high suction pressure of up to 10,000 Pa. With this dust extractor series, central extraction solutions can be realised in which several manual machines can be connected to the dust extractor via a pipework system. The separated dusts can thus be collected centrally in a filling bin with an inserted plastic bag. The use of energy saving motors of quality class IE3 in combination with a frequency converter is standard. The other plus points of this series of units are:
Suction power
The compactness
Low noise emission
Complete control system
User-friendliness and
Extensive range of accessories
