Biesse Bolsters Skill Development, Donates Machine to Hettich-Poddar Woodworking Institute

Industry leader Biesse continues to exemplify its commitment to advancing the woodworking sector by supporting skill development initiatives. As part of its ongoing efforts, Biesse recently donated a Rover Gold 1232 CNC machine and state-of-the-art CAD/CAM software to Hettich-Poddar Woodworking Institute (HPWWi) in Faridabad on the sidelines of DelhiWood 2023. This latest contribution follows previous donations of a panel saw and two through-feed edge banding machines to the institute.

In addition to providing essential equipment, Biesse serves as a skill ambassador within the Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC), further reinforcing its dedication to fostering a skilled ecosystem in India’s manufacturing sector. The company has also extended support to the National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in Kolkata to develop advanced woodworking courses.

Biesse’s ongoing collaboration with key organizations such as the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) and the Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) highlights its proactive approach to innovation. By submitting project proposals for woodworking technologies to various forest development corporations and common facility centers, Biesse continues to solidify its position as a driving force in the industry.
