Q. Could you please let our readers know about your company and product range?
A. Sure. Rubio Monocoat is the reference when it comes to high quality and environment-friendly wood protection. Due to its advanced molecular bonding technology, Rubio Monocoat Oil ensures durable colour and protection of the wood. It is economical and contains zero percent VOC or water. It is very easy to apply and maintain and it can’t create any overlaps. It can be applied on almost all types of wood. Last but not the least it’s a green application and doesn’t create any emission.
Q. Could you explain little more about the green properties of this product?
A. It is green in two ways. As there is no emission, it doesn’t create any greenhouse gases. Also the base materials used in this product are bio-renewable.
Q. It is said that applying oil on wood requires a long drying process. How did you overcome this particular challenge?
A. Earlier, it used to take up to 7 days to ensure that the oil applied on wood gets dry. Now, we have drying time of 24 hours. Rubio Monocoat oil doesn’t contain any water or solvents and is based on natural ingredients. This means that the product dries quickly, is safe to use, and equally safe for environment.
Q. Can we also stain the wood with different colours and can be protected with oil?
A. Yes, absolutely.
Q. Can we say that your material is child-friendly as children tend to eat whatever is thereon the floor?
A. Yes, our material is specially certified as toxic-free and can be used for children toys or furniture. This is one of the biggest advantages of our product. Our R&D has also proved that our products are safe for kitchen appliances as well. One of our customers in Russia is making cutting boards and other kitchenware using our product.
Q. Which are the major markets for your product?
A. At the moment we are doing quite well in Europe and the United States. We are also exploring other markets and have been receiving good response from China from last two-three years. People all over the globe have become more concerned about health and also about making least impact on environment. I am glad we are ensuring our little contribution on both these fronts.
