As the premier international event for components, semi-finished products, and accessories in the furniture industry, SICAM 2023 is gearing up for its fourteenth edition, slated to take place in Pordenone, Italy, from October 17-20, 2023.
With the majority of exhibition spaces already sold out and a reconfirmation rate exceeding 90%, the upcoming SICAM event is poised to be an influential platform for professionals and over 600 exhibitors to showcase their latest products and innovations. The event’s global reach is expected to shape materials and design choices for the 2024 furniture season.
Revamped Exhibition Space for an Optimal Experience
SICAM 2023 will debut an expanded and revamped exhibition layout at the heart of the Trade Fair District. Pordenone Fiere is in the process of constructing a new two-module structure that will integrate with the central Hall 5, offering a larger layout, complete with its own bar. An additional 3,000 square meters of exhibition space will be accessible directly from the Exhibition Centre’s central entrance, featuring full services and the classic SICAM exhibition format.
Global Promotion Efforts in Full Swing
SICAM 2023’s promotional campaign is already making its presence known at leading furnishing and design trade fairs worldwide. The Expo SICAM team has been actively participating in events such as ‘Maison & Objet’ in Paris, ‘Kbis’ in Las Vegas, ‘Euroshop’ in Düsseldorf, ‘DelhiWood’ in India, and ‘MEM Industrial’ in Mexico City. Interest in the Pordenone exhibition continues to grow, as new target operators are being engaged. The previous edition of SICAM saw a record number of attendees from 116 foreign countries, highlighting the event’s potential for fostering international business relationships.
A New Logo for a New Era
SICAM 2023 is also unveiling a new stylized logo, characterized by its minimalist and high-impact design. The monochromatic logo, available in black or white, aligns with the event’s commitment to online visibility and its distinct aesthetic appeal, reflecting the essence of ‘SICAM style.’
A Thriving Wood-Furniture Supply Chain
Despite lingering uncertainties related to global events, the Italian furniture industry has experienced positive growth, with 2022’s wood-furniture sector value of production seeing a 12.7% increase over 2021, reaching a record EUR57 billion. Exports in the sector were up 14% as of September 30, 2022. The European furniture market, a key target for Italian production, reached nearly EUR120 billion in 2022, with Germany, the United Kingdom, and France remaining the most significant contributors.
