IndiaWood 2022 scheduled in February 2022

Completing its last edition in February 2020, under the clouds of COVID-19 pandemic (which had crumbled China and some parts of Europe back then), IndiaWood is roaring to return in February 2022 with its 12th edition. IndiaWood 2022 is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru International Exhibition Center (BIEC) from February 24 to 28, 2022. The 6th edition of India MattressTech Expo will be held concurrently from February 24 to 27, 2022 at the same venue. Modern Woodwork is the Official Publisher for IndiaWood.

IndiaWood, one of the world’s leading exhibitions for the furniture manufacturing and the woodworking industry, offers its audience a comprehensive overview of the prevailing technological innovations and the latest manufacturing trends in furniture manufacturing, woodworking technologies, tools, fittings, accessories, and raw materials.

The exhibition trio of IndiaWood, DelhiWood, and MumbaiWood has cemented its position as India’s largest sourcing platform for furniture manufacturers, wood-based handicraft manufacturers, saw millers, carpenters, craftsmen, architects, and interior designers in the region, over the last few years. The rising local demand, scope for furniture manufacturers to expand their facilities and attract new investments, and the current favourable position of India within the global supply chain, are some of the factors, which have contributed to this growth.

The industry itself is undergoing a massive transformational shift when it comes to supply chain management, adherence to latest technological advancements in line with Industry 4.0 and the rise of new regions within the context of demand and supply.
As per Industry reports, the domestic furniture market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.91% during the period of 2020-2024, while the global furniture market is estimated at USD 1.1 Trillion. The Indian market size has a huge growth potential as apart from the domestic furniture market, the potential for furniture exports also shows great promise, with several countries looking to diversify their manufacturing bases in the post COVIC-19 era.

The exhibition organised by NürnbergMesse India aims to drive the Indian furniture manufacturing and woodworking industry and establish India as one of the top manufacturing destinations in the region. The emphasis of the exhibition will be on the need for carpentry, skilling, innovation, automation, and digitalization.
