The Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC) Skill Pavilion emerged as a significant highlight at the DelhiWood 2023 exhibition, held from March 2-5. The pavilion showcased solutions to foster a skilled workforce for the woodworking and furniture sectors.
Key accomplishments of the Skill Pavilion include over 160 MoUs signed with industry partners, who have joined the ranks of FFSC’s #SkillAmbassadors. The Pavilion also attracted interest from industry partners across 23 states, 3 Union territories, and international visitors from Bhutan, Russia, and Italy, eager to collaborate with FFSC and support the Skill India initiative.
In addition, the Pavilion created 7,000+ upskilling and re-skilling opportunities, identified 700+ potential apprenticeships, garnered interest from 60+ companies in establishing skill academies, and prompted 40+ industries to express a desire to enhance instructional quality and introduce new technologies.
